Today was an amazing day as has been this entire week. I attended a volunteer leadership training organized by the Obama campaign. Rarely have I witnessed the energy that I encountered among the volunteers assembled in that room. The awesome power of their energy was matched only by the extraordinary breadth of the group's diversity. From a Dominican immigrant who was moved to get involved as a result of the inability of his sister to care for her desperatly ill daughter to a Jewish ex-professional baseball player to an ex-Republican disillusioned by the meanspiritedness that has come to be the hallmark of the Republican party - what an amazing display of being united around a common purpose.
Even if Obama does not have all the answers for America, he has inspired so many to action. That alone can bring the fundamental transformation that this country so desperately needs!
